Charlie Walker is at Sundance to help promote his movie America is Still the Place with writer/director Patrick Gilles and Bill O’Keeffe.

The film recounts the racial injustice Walker endured in an effort to clean up Stinson Beach in Marin County, California after the 1971 San Francisco Bay oil spill threatened the beach town and much of the Bay Area’s coastline. The movie stars Mike Colter and Dylan Baker, and was written and directed by Patrick Gilles.
